The updated C6.R has even stronger links to the production version than its predecessors. This is in part thanks to new GT2 rules which require the use of many production-based components, but, for Corvette, it’s just a continuation of the two-way transfer of technology between race track and showroom that has characterised Corvette from the beginning.

Pure Racing DNA

Body-hugging Z06-exclusive bucket seats feature perforated two-tone leather seating surfaces and Z06 embroidery. Cast aluminum flat-top pistons, titanium connecting rods, an 11.0:1 compression ratio and the highest-lift cam ever on a GM production smallblock V8: just a few of the LS7 engine’s high-performance features. The Z06 was developed alongside the Chevrolet Corvette race cars that have won six consecutive American Le Mans Series Manufacturers’ Championships and taken the GT1 class at Le Mans five times.

Z06’s massive 10-spoke aluminum wheels and extended mobility tires are the largest in Chevrolet Corvette history. Dual-mode exhaust system reduces noise output at idle and during moderate driving while providing reduced back pressure for race-carlike performance at higher rpm. At speed, the sound emanating from the four trumpet-shaped exhaust outlets is sensational.
